How to Replace a Medicine Cabinet Mirror Door

Phillips head screwdriver

Measuring the Door

Before you purchase a new mirror door, you'll need to measure the opening of your medicine cabinet. Use a measuring tape to measure the width and height of the opening. Make sure to measure both the inside and outside of the frame to ensure a snug fit.

Removing the Old Door

Once you have your new door, it's time to remove the old one. Open the medicine cabinet door and locate the screws holding the door in place. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws.

Once the screws are removed, carefully lift the door straight up and out of the frame. Be careful not to drop the door or bang it against anything.

Installing the New Door

Place the new door into the frame and align it with the holes for the screws. Use a level to make sure the door is level before securing it.

Insert the screws into the holes and tighten them with a Phillips head screwdriver. Do not overtighten the screws or you could crack the door.

Closing the Door
