How to Build a Cabinet Around a Bathroom Sink

Building a cabinet around your bathroom sink is a great way to add storage space to your bathroom and improve the overall look of the room. Materials

1/2-inch plywood (for the cabinet box)

Instructions

1. Measure and cut the plywood for the cabinet box.

The cabinet box will be made from 1/2-inch plywood. The size of the box will depend on the size of your sink and the space you have available. To determine the size of the box, measure the width and depth of your sink, and then add 4 inches to each measurement. This will give you the width and depth of the cabinet box.

Cut the plywood to size using a circular saw or miter saw. Be sure to cut the plywood squarely, so that the cabinet box will be square.

2. Assemble the cabinet box.

To assemble the cabinet box, apply wood glue to the edges of the plywood pieces. Then, clamp the pieces together and screw them together using wood screws. Be sure to countersink the screws, so that they are flush with the surface of the plywood.

3. Cut and assemble the cabinet door.

The cabinet door will be made from 1/4-inch plywood. The size of the door will depend on the size of the cabinet box. To determine the size of the door, measure the width and height of the cabinet box opening, and then subtract 1/4 inch from each measurement. This will give you the width and height of the cabinet door.

6. Finish the cabinet.

To finish the cabinet, you can paint or stain it. You can also add a cabinet knob or pull to the door. Once the cabinet is finished, it is ready to be installed under your bathroom sink.
